It isn’t his color, it’s his substance
I’m tired of individuals (such as the author of “Obama critics conceal racism,” The Daily Progress, Sept. 18) suggesting that the majority of us don’t like Barack Obama because he’s black.
It’s individuals like this who toss out race, not the rest of us. Citizens don’t like Obama because of what he stands for: bigger government, more taxes, etc. He’s been shown to be the most far left of all the liberals in the Senate.
I’m also tired of everyone using the phrase that “Sarah Palin is only a heartbeat away from the presidency.” Enough already. Obama is the heartbeat of the Democratic Party, and that’s what scares the heck out of many Americans — not that he’s black, but that he’s too liberal, has no useful experience and wants the government to run our lives.
I personally will take my chances with John McCain and keep as much control over my own life as possible.
