Obama’s record shows the waste

Citizens Against Government Waste is a non-partisan group that identifies wasteful spending in our federal government and influences citizens and Congress to stop excessive spending before it is approved. It started in 1984, and I have followed the actions of this organization for more than 15 years.

CAGW has identified major legislation and earmarks that raise serious doubts about the benefits gained if tax dollars are spent on questionable projects.
I think that every citizen wants efficient and effective government. We want our po-litical leaders to wisely use the money that we send to them. CAGW works toward this goal. Can anyone be against this goal?

Recently, the CAGW has presented its appraisal of our presidential and vice presidential candidates in the Senate and their voting re-cords regarding either supporting judicious spending or supporting questionable use of our tax dollars.
Sen. John McCain received a rating of 100, the best possible, for good stewardship and sponsoring judicious spending of our tax dollars. Sen. Barack Obama received a rating of 10, for sponsoring or voting for questionable spending. Sen. Joe Biden received a rating of 0, the lowest possible.

I think it is reasonable to expect these candidates to continue with the spending trends they have exhibited thus far. Based on this information, if you are like me and expect good and efficient government, you have one choice for the next president of the United States: John McCain.
