Slutzky thinks deeply on variety of issues

David Slutzky is one of those love ’em or hate ’em types. Some complain that he is arrogant and too radical for Albemarle County. He is certainly self-assured and he challenges convention. He is also by far the more capable of the candidates running for Rio District.
Because of his experience in business and environmental sciences, he is able to see that economic development does not have to equal environmental degradation. He sees the potential in this community and understands that with intelligent planning we can have a strong economy while preserving our natural resources.
If you have never attended a Board of Supervisors meeting or only go for public hearings and think Mr. Slutzky is too radical based on Daily Progress articles, please attend a regular BOS meeting. Listen to the vast range of complicated subjects our supervisors deal with and listen to Mr. Slutzky’s comments.
As someone who has attended BOS meetings, I can say that over the years we have had some very intelligent supervisors who put the time in and do their homework. We have also had some potato heads. Mr. Slutzky is definitely in the former category. He does the homework, masters the subject matter and works hard for this community.
We are lucky to have such an energetic and intelligent person working for us. For the benefit we receive and meager 14 grand we pay him each year, I, for one, am willing to overlook a little arrogance. Please vote Slutzky for the Rio District on Nov 3.
