Walkers bulldozed again after snowfall

Once again, a substantial snowfall has covered our city and county; and once again, the road-clearing process has left our sidewalks buried and unusable.
When those piles of compacted snow refreeze, they are even more difficult to remove and dangerous-to-impossible to walk on. Those without motor vehicles must walk and wait for buses in the traffic lane.
This arrangement favors the convenience and safety of drivers over that of pedestrians and users of public transport. It makes getting to work, the grocery store and other destinations more difficult and dangerous for the aged and the poor (including children).
However unintentional, this is socioeconomic discrimination with
potentially life-threatening consequences. This is unconscionable.
