Jumping for joy?

President Bush the elder may have celebrated his 85th birthday with a skydive, but Jane Bockstruck has gone him one better.

The ex-prez at least had skydived before — to celebrate earlier birthdays but more importantly as a naval aviator during World War II.

Ms. Bockstruck celebrated her 92nd birthday (so, that makes her “the elder”) with her first jump from a plane.

The New Hampshire woman says she doesn’t remember jumping from the plane, but her instructor and tandem-jump partner said she had perfect form and made an excellent landing.

Then again, maybe skydiving at 92 isn’t such a leap for a woman whose resume lists world traveling, seven marriages and a stint as a seamstress for the John Wayne movie “True Grit.”
