No defense there against zombies

Aw, dude!

The University of Florida has removed a link to its zombie emergency plan from its Web site.

No longer can you peruse the university’s emergency response plan for dealing with an outbreak of the walking dead.

The emergency exercise laid out plans for how the school would deal with attacks by “flesh-eating, apparently life impaired individuals.”

And in case, after seeing these apparitions, you still had some doubt about the nature of the emergency, the link warned that a zombie outbreak would include “documentation of lots of strange moaning.”

A university spokesman said the gag wasn’t appropriate for a site that was supposed to detail UF’s response to such — dare we say — real-life emergencies as hurricanes and pandemics.

That’s true enough. Still, we’re sorry we missed the joke. It sounds like a real howler.
