James Gardner Dennis admitted Friday that he had possessed child pornography, but he disputed the allegation that he raped a 17-year-old Connecticut girl he met online.

A Connecticut teenager who told police she was sexually assaulted by a man she met on the social networking site Facebook actually met him through a money-based matchmaking Web site, police testified Monday.

An Albemarle man police allege used the Internet to lure a Connecticut teen to the area and then raped her is scheduled for a hearing next month in the county’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
