Charlottesville’s Sister Cities Commission seems to be taking both a creative and a common-sense approach to relationships with overseas cities. That’s a wise balance.

With at least one proposal for a new city to join Charlottesville’s family in the wings, the city’s recently formed Sister Cities Commission is beginning to explore ways to better support current sister cities and to develop guidelines for considering future ones.

The Charlottesville City Council has made several appointments to city boards and commissions.
