When Virginia coach Tony Bennett was hired to replace Dave Leitao last April, a number of UVa fans were disappointed.

Bennett has been pleased with the offseason work that his new charges have put in, most notably that of ACC rookie of the year Sylven Landesberg.

Well, save for freshman Sylven Landesberg, Leitao may want to his reassess the unit that started the Cavaliers’ 72-67 loss in front of a crowd of 16,353 at the RBC Center.

As Sylven Landesberg jumped in the air, he seemed to have an easy layup — until teammate Solomon Tat, out of nowhere, slapped the ball out of his hands.

“I wasn’t really interested in playing anybody who wasn’t going to play the game the right way,” said Leitao, following the team’s 80-70 loss to Boston College.
