CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Bobcats have sent rookies Sean Singletary, a former UVa star, and Alexis Ajinca to Sioux Falls of the NBA Development League.

Neither player had been getting much playing time with coach Larry Brown tightening his rotation as the Bobcats make a playoff push. The pair did not travel with the Bobcats on Monday when they left for today’s game at San Antonio.

Ajinca and Singletary will play for Sioux Falls on Friday at Reno.

Singletary was acquired from Phoenix in the trade that also brought starters Boris Diaw and Raja Bell to Charlotte. The point guard hasn’t played since Feb. 11. He was originally drafted in the second round by the Sacramento Kings.

The 7-foot Ajinca was a first-round pick of Charlotte. The Frenchman has appeared in just two games since Feb. 11.
