In Oakton, Darnell Turner scored 21 points as Blue Ridge staged a fourth-quarter rally in a 69-63 overtime victory over St. Anne’s-Belfield in the Flint Hill Husky Tournament.

Scott Williams scored 14 points for the Barons and point guard Denzel Wilson added 10.

“We had a hard time with their point guard [Wilson],” said St. Anne’s coach Brian Kent. “He was able to penetrate and kick out for an easy shot several times.”

The Saints struggled from the free-throw line, going 3 of 14 from the stripe in the second half. Brett Goodloe led STAB with 29 points and Alex Asher added 11.

“Early in the season, their legs were maybe not quite there yet,” Kent said. It was an encouraging game for us.”
