Running back out for season

The University of Virginia is reporting that freshman running back Dominique Wallace will miss the remainder of this season. Wallace injured a foot in Saturday’s loss to Southern Mississippi and will need season-ending surgery.

Tech injury report: Harris listed as probable

Virginia Tech senior cornerback Victor “Macho” Harris (sprained left foot) is listed as probable for tomorrow’s 1:30 p.m. home opener against Division I-AA Furman, according to Tech’s weekly injury report, released yesterday. On Tuesday, team trainer Mike Goforth said the chance of Harris playing appeared “promising.“
