If you like films that get adrenaline pumping and love the outdoors, the Radical Reels Tour may be just your ticket.
The collection of the most extreme films from the 35th annual Banff Mountain Film Festival will focus on skiing, kayaking, gliding, biking, boarding and climbing.
The Shenandoah National Park Trust is bringing Radical Reels back for a second year. National Geographic presents the Radical Reels Tour, which grew from the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, a popular annual event in Charlottesville for more than 15 years.
The films are short and brisk. To view a trailer, visit http://www.snptrust.org/2011/08/radical-reels-2011/.
Attendees can purchase tickets to win such outdoor-gear prizes as a kayak, a mountain bike and a tent.
Tickets are $12, $10 in advance, and all proceeds will benefit Shenandoah National Park. Tickets will be available at Plow and Hearth at Barracks Road Shopping Center and online at www.snptrust.org.
