As Election Day approaches, the Capitol Steps will head to the Paramount Theater for an evening of skits ands songs that parody the election season.

The comedy show begins 8 tonight.

The show is updated frequently to get the latest issues and events into the songs and parodies.

Some of the offerings in the current show include “Obama Meets Osama,’’ “But We Only Have McCain,’’ “Addicted to Oil,’’ “Hillary Survive’’ and “This Land’s Not Your Land.’’

Learn more at capsteps.com. Fans can hear selections from the Capitol Steps’ repertoire ahead of time, including “Monster cash,’’ which pokes fun at the government’s economic bailout plan to the tune of “Monster Mash,’’ and “Subprime Mortgage Holders,’’ to the tune of “Sunshine on My Shoulders.’’

The troupe’s latest album is “Campaign and Suffering.’’

Tickets are $45.50, $40.50, $37.50 and $34.50, and there are sale tickets for $25, $15 for students. Call 979-1333.
