Rep. Robert Hurt will swing through Central Virginia this week as part of a “Route 29 Tour” during the August recess.
Hurt, R-Chatham, will make two stops in Nelson County this morning before heading to Charlottesville around mid-day.
The congressman will speak to the Nelson County Chamber of Commerce at 8 a.m. at the Nelson Center in Lovingston, then tour the Blue Ridge Medical Center at 10 a.m.
He’ll visit with YMCA leaders in downtown Charlottesville in the afternoon, the swing by Tip Top Restaurant at 5:15 p.m.
Hurt will also be in Charlottesville on Thursday, when he plans to greet constituents on the Downtown Mall between noon and 1:30 p.m.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to reconvene after Labor Day.
