The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA’s recent adoption special — which marked the institution’s five-year anniversary as a no-kill facility — was the most productive 10-day period ever for the shelter, said executive director Susanne Kogut.
The shelter saw 180 pets adopted during the period, July 1 through 10, she said. During that time, adoption fees were waived.
