A Buckingham man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a robbery on East High Street that occurred early Sunday morning.
Ryan Edward Davis Dean, 19, was arrested in Charlottesville and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The robbery occurred at 1 a.m., Lt. Ronnie Roberts said. A Charlottesville man was walking in the 1500 block of East High Street when he was approached by two men. One of the men pulled a handgun and demanded the victim’s backpack. After taking the backpack, the suspects ran away.
“We’re still looking for the second suspect in the case,” Roberts said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 977-4000.
