»  Comments | Post a Comment

Charlottesville police made two arrests this week in connection with a robbery that occurred over the summer at an Emmet Street hotel.

Trisha Evans, 29, was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbery. Steven Bednarski, 42, was arrested on Friday and charged with robbery, reckless use of a firearm and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

City police Lt. Ronnie Roberts said that the two are suspected to have been involved with a violent robbery that occurred at the Emmet Street Days Inn on July 24. Roberts said police believe a man was lured back to the hotel by a woman he met at the Ming Dynasty Restaurant. They were on their way to her room when the man was attacked and robbed. He was treated at the University of Virginia Medical center for cuts on the back of his head and released.
