In the midst of today’s breaking news we are springing yet another, but more pleasant, surprise - we launched the new Dailyprogress.com. We have worked hard developing this new Web site and it has many new features that I would like to introduce to you.
When you first enter the new DailyProgress.com you will immediately see a rotating panel of all of our top stories in news, sports, lifestyles and entertainment.
Below that panel is our new Continuous News Desk. New stories posted to the site are displayed here immediately. We have two categories, one for news and the other for entertainment. Visitors will be able to quickly slide the continuous news bar to see all of the day's stories and updates at a glance.
Just to the right is our weather panel that displays continually updated weather maps and information. When clicked, it will take you to our weather page where you can get more in-depth information and extended forecasts.
Underneath the Continuous News Desk and weather panel are buttons that allow you to subscribe to our content for your mobile phone as well as RSS and e-mail newsletters. The "Reader’s Voice" button takes you to a form to submit feedback to the various departments here at The Daily Progress.
The Snap! gallery is your space. You can upload any photos (good taste applies) that you want to share with the metro Charlottesville community.
Below that you will find news feeds on several topics.
