NORFOLK — Author John Grisham is turning his talents to the big screen with a high-profile Norfolk rape and slaying case.

The author of a bookshelf of legal thrillers is writing a screenplay about the case of Michelle Moore-Bosko.

The body of the 18-year-old Navy spouse was found by her husband on July 8, 1997, after he returned from a deployment.

Four of the five men convicted in the case now say their confessions were coerced and they are innocent. They blame the fifth defendant for the slaying, saying he acted alone.

The four are seeking pardons from Gov. Timothy M. Kaine.

Grisham said he believes the so-called Norfolk Four are innocent.
