Playboy in search of UVa student bodies

Playboy will visit Charlottesville next week in search of University of Virginia students to feature in its “Girls of the ACC” spread in its October issue.

The magazine expects to pick at least one woman from each of the 12 schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference. A stop at Virginia Tech is scheduled for April 2 and 3.

Playboy photographers will be in Charlottesville on March 30 and 31.

Interested applicants must be 18 years old and enrolled as a full- or part-time student at UVa. To apply, applicants can call (312) 401-7341 or visit www.playboy.com/pose/collegecastings/girls-of-the-acc.

A spokeswoman for Playboy said each woman who auditions will be asked a few questions about her major and activities at school. She will then go into a back room with a photographer, where she will pose in a two-piece swimsuit or lingerie.

“We don’t encourage them to go topless or nude,” said Tina E. Manzo of Playboy. “But if they’re comfortable, of course they can.”

The women who are selected from each school will be flown to a photo shoot in April.
