U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello, D-Ivy, takes questions from members of the Jefferson Area Tea Party during their delivery of a signed petition to his Charlottesville office on Friday.
The petition, which was signed by hundreds of attendees of the April 15 Tax Day Tea Party rally at the Pavilion on the Downtown Mall, outlines the group’s disapproval of federal bailouts and the increased role of the federal government.
Perriello also answered questions from the crowd on topics ranging from Social Security to the First Amendment.
