Minor sidesteps foreclosure threat

Fox Ridge Farm Holding Co., owned by owned by entrepreneur Halsey Minor, has brought current its $6.52 million mortgage on the 204-acre Fox Ridge Farm, taking the farm out of foreclosure and avoiding a scheduled Feb. 18 public auction, according to officials connected to the property.

The company has also made good on a second mortgage taken on the property that went through foreclosure in January and which they bought back at auction for $1.39 million, according to court records.

William H. Casterline Jr., of the Fairfax law firm of Blankingship and Keith, confirmed that the sale had been canceled. Casterline is the trustee for the Free Union-area Fox Ridge property, representing First Republic Bank of San Francisco, which holds the mortgage.

Attorneys of the Charlottesville law firm of Feil, Pettit and Williams confirmed that the mortgage has been made current, but declined further comment.
