Charlottesville police Lt. Gary Pleasants confirmed today that police are investigating the possibility that George Huguely and Yeardley Love had a public altercation the night before her death.
“That is one of the things that’s been said, and that is one of the things we’re examining,” Pleasants said.
Huguely, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder in Love’s death. The two had been in a relationship, but it had ended, Huguely told police, according to court documents.
In general, Pleasants said, police are investigating the pair’s past, trying to figure out which of the stories they’re hearing are true.
