The Virginia High School League released a proposed redistricting plan that would move Albemarle and Orange County into the Jefferson District.
The VHSL Redistricting and Realignment Committee met last week and voted 12-0 for the new assignments with the understanding that changes could be forthcoming. Schools seeking modification must present a written request, including the reasons for seeking changes, with the VHSL by Feb. 16.
The committee will meet again on Feb. 27 to consider those requests.
William Monroe, which moved from the Jefferson District to the Bull Run District this school year, appears to be staying in the Bull Run with rival Madison County.
