  Curtis Elder is in his 35th season as the track coach at Charlottesville High School. “Coach Elder’s impact on the track team at CHS has been immeasurable,” said CHS Atheltic Director Rick Lilly, who was coached by Elder. “In my opinion, he has always been able to get the most out of his athletes and make a positive impact on them as individuals. Ultimately, that is the true mark of a great coach. He has gotten athletes who never thought they could run to be all-district and athletes of the highest levels to be state and national champions."
